Andreas Håtviet is King of Style

Norwegian Andreas Håtveit won Peak Performance King of Style on the historic Olympic Arena Stockholm Stadion in Stockholm, Sweden. 24 skiers challenged the monster jump and 12 made it to the final. Big names like Jon Olsson, Simon Dumont, Jacob Wester and Tom Phil Casabon were in it to win but Andreas Håtveit did an amazing performance and won the crown. Håtveit had a big smile on his face as he was doing his last jump, when he realized he had already won.

The crowd was huge and cheered on the world elite in freeskiing when they jumped 25 meters in length and 6 meters above the kicker, meaning 17 meters above the ground. All the riders agreed this was probably the best city jump they have ever experienced. A huge jump – the start was 33 meters above the ground.

The historic Stockholm Stadion was during LG Winter Jam transformed into an action sport arena, a huge came to see world’s best freestyle skiers and snowboarders. The atmosphere was amazing with great music and entertainment from DJ Hakim.

DC‐shoes were representing with a rail arena where the public could try their form for the upcoming season and what a success! The creditable shaper, David Ny also shaped the big jump where the competition was held. David has a respectable background shaping the Olympic pipe in Torino 2006 and Salt Lake City 2002. He spent half the week before the competition working on the perfect jump!

When the audience wasn’t checking out the riders or was trying out the rail arena they were checking out the big wintersports fair were some of Sweden’s best winter sports companies like Peak Performance, X‐travel, SOS and many more were presenting their products and ideas for the crowd at Stadion.

LG Winter Jam 2009 was a big success with over 25.000 thousand visitors and as promised world‐class ski and snowboard show.
